Academic background and interests

I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) postdoctoral fellow at the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NSSF). I have previously worked as a project associate in the Treatment and Evaluation research group at Akershus University Hospital, and completed my PhD in psychology at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.

My research interests are centered around cognitive-affective processes in psychological disorders, with a particular focus on autobiographical memories. I am interested in understanding vulnerability factors underlying psychological disorders, early intervention and prevention of psychological disorders, wellbeing and adaptation in adolescence, and future thinking in young people in relation to the climate crisis.

Research projects and collaborations

I am the principal investigator of the EU-funded project Borderline Personality Disorder: Memory and Identity in Adolescence (BOLD MINDS). The project aims to enhance the understanding of vulnerability factors underlying the emergence of borderline personality disorder (BPD) during adolescence, by investigating whether features of autobiographical memories are associated with core BPD features in adolescents.

I am involved in research collaborations with researchers at a number of international universities, including the Centre on Autobiographical Memory Research at Aarhus University (Denmark), the Applied Memory Research Laboratory at the Jagiellonian University (Poland), the Memory and Psychopathology Lab at Shinshu University (Japan) and the University of St Andrews (Scotland).
