About the project
The project engages with questions of knowledge translation, especially focusing on knowledge translation between practitioners and researchers involved in a participatory research project in physiotherapy. Participatory research as a mean to create flow of knowledge between the parts involved is seen as a socially constituted and contingent practice, and the main aim of the project is to investigate how the participants perform this exchange of knowledge.
Objectives
To widen the understanding of knowledge translation, and to develop a terminology that is suitable to make more nuanced descriptions of the social aspects of knowledge translation in participatory research.
Background
The project draws on traditions of science studies with an ethnographic approach, using observations and interviews to inquiry into the social aspects of knowledge translation.
