The Norwegian Cancer Society’s aim is to prevent and fight cancer, and to ensure the best quality of life for patients and their families.

Eligibility
Eligibility criteria mostly identical between programmes, but there are some differences in PI already have and ongoing project. An eligible applicant is a Project Manager who:
- holds a doctoral degree or other equivalent qualification, latest at the deadline of the call.
- is associated with a Norwegian university, university college, hospital, or other institution with research as part of its non-commercial activities
In addition to the eligibility criteria above, the Project Manager for Young Aspiring Cancer Researcher must:
- have successfully defended their PhD no less than 2 years and no more than 7 years before the call deadline. The date of the defense must be no earlier than the 28th of May 2017 and no later than the 28th of May 2022.
- Applicants may apply for subtraction for certain leaves of absence.
Funding
Project duration may be 2-4 years. The grant size is 2 - 8 million NOK.
NCS does not cover indirect costs and does not compensate for other costs related to leave of absence.
