Increasing integration and convergence between biomedical, ethical and social aspects have become an intrinsic part of cancer research. Cancer researchers and clinicians face important questions and dilemmas every day:

  • How can we deal with the uncertainties in the lab, while maintaining the quality of our science?
  • How can medical science contribute to debates on what is good for society?
  • How can economic models help guide health care resource allocation?

The course is specifically designed for non-Scandinavian speaking research managers working in Scandinavian research institutions (universities, university colleges, hospitals, etc. both public and private). It is aimed at younger researchers with emerging leadership responsibilities, PostDocs, P.I.'s etc., as well as active research managers who are either staff responsible or responsible for a research activity (a large project, a team, a center, etc.).

International Research Management Course consists of 3 modules of 1½ - 2½ days each.

Candidates who have taken courses offered by the Norwegian Medical Association after having been admitted to the PhD programme but before 1 July 2018, can apply to have their courses included in their educational component in accordance with current practice until 30 June 2019.
