Keynote

Women - prepared to take on leadership in Global Health

Bente Mikkelsen (in personal capacity), Director of the Division of Noncommunicable Diseases and Promoting Health through the Life-Course (NDP) at WHO/Europe, and Head of Secretariat for the Global Coordination Mechanism on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases at WHO headquarters.

Norway punches beyond its weight in support to Global Health through various contributions to UN Agencies, partnerships as Every Women Every Child, CEPI, UNAIDS, BeHe@ltyBeMobile  and many more. Norway take responsibilities in international NGOs and have an impact through research and innovation. There is a growing focus on Health Industry and we are responsible for huge financial impact on global health through our National Pension Fund Investments. How do we use the opportunities to provide leadership? Are we duly represented in boards? How is global health identified as a career path for female leadership talents? Are we pushing for gender equality?

Please sign up for the event, as we will serve drinks and tapas.
