PhD fellowship

Fibrosis is a debilitating condition with a significant unmet therapeutic need. The position at the Krauss laboratory will focus on exploring the effects of experimental WNT signaling inhibitors on fibrosis initiation and progression in both mouse models and experimental human organ-on-a-chip models. A special focus will be on the interplay between WNT signaling, cytokine release and fibrosis development.

The work will be embedded in a team working on drug discovery, organ-on-a-chip platform development, mouse models and imaging. The Krauss lab. has a pioneering background in developmental biology (discovery of the key morphogen Shh) and in the development of preclinical signaling inhibitors. Recently, the lab. has established an interdisciplinary team working on organ-on-a-chip platform development.It is expected that the PhD candidate will be involved in high-impact publications and have an eagerness for career development.

The position is available for 3 years. The research fellow must take part in the medical faculty's approved PhD program. See more information at:
