NOR-Openscreen

NOR-Openscreen is the national research infrastructure for chemical biology, high throughput screening and bioprospecting. It represents the Norwegian node of EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC. The High Throughput Chemical Biology Platform at NCMBM is one of the four nodes in NOR-Openscreen.

Map of Norway highlighting the citiies involved in NOR-OpenscreenNOR-Openscreen is a national research infrastructure consortium that received phase-I infrastructure funding from the Norwegian Research Council (NFR) between 2016 – 2022. The consortium consists of four nodes, the High Throughput Chemical Biology Screening Platform at UiO, the facility for Biophysics, Structural Biology, and Screening (BiSS) at the University of Bergen (UiB), Marbio at the Arctic University of Tromsø (UiT) and the Dept. of Biotechnology and Nanomedicine at SINTEF (Trondheim).

NOR-Openscreen offers high throughput screening technologies and resources to public or private users and supports the discovery of biologically active substances in all areas of the Life Sciences. It provides open access to the most advanced technologies, chemical and biological resources, expertise and serves as an entry point to the European chemical biology community.

NOR-Openscreen is the Norwegian node of the ESFRI-project EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC, the European Research Infrastructure Consortium for chemical biology and high throughput screening.
