Organised research training

The faculty has two organised research training programmes:

  • The PhD programme
  • The Medical Student Research programme

If you are a PhD candidate at another institution, you may opt to visit the University of Oslo as a guest researcher or to follow our courses and seminars.

The PhD programme

After obtaining a master's degree, you may work towards a doctorate (PhD). The normal time taken to complete a doctoral programme is three years.

Scientia Fellows
