The faculty has two organised research training programmes:
- the PhD programme
- the research option for medical students who are intending to pursue careers in research
If you are a PhD candidate at another institution, you may opt to visit the University of Oslo as a guest researcher or to follow our courses and seminars.
Organised research training: PhD
After obtaining a master's degree, you may work towards a doctorate (PhD). The normal time taken to complete a doctoral programme is three years.
