Project title: New and Effective Treatment Strategies to Combat Life-Threatening Aggressive Cancer

This project aims to investigate how aggressive cancer cells exploit endogenous damage induced structures known as micronuclei, which are strongly associated with poor prognosis and cancer progression. Micronuclei can activate inflammatory signaling pathways that may either enhance anti-tumor immunity or promote metastasis in aggressive cancers. Our goal is to unravel the cellular consequences of micronuclei formation in aggressive cancer cells. By using advanced microscopy and molecular analyses, we seek to uncover the key pathways involved in regulating these structures. Ultimately, this research will help identify novel therapeutic targets and strategies to improve outcomes for patients with aggressive forms of cancer.
