From the very first time she looked at cells under a microscope, Katharina Vestre was captivated. Now she wants to share her passion for cell biology and biomedical research with a broad audience and has written a popular science book on the subject. From skin cells to the busy bacterial communities in our gut, Vestre takes the reader on a journey through the microscopic landscape of our bodies.

Published in Norwegian by Aschehoug, the book is available in bookstores as of August 2026 and features beautiful illustrations by her sister, Linnea Vestre.
