When will the Diploma be ready
When the diploma has been produced you will receive an e-mail from the faculty administration telling you that the diploma is available.
Diplomas are produced approximately every third month.
When your diploma is ready depends on the date of your public defence. Below is an overview of the approximate dates for 2026:
- Date of defence between 16 October (2025) and 15 January: 12 March
- Date of defence between 16 January and 15 April: 11 June
- Date of defence between 16 April and 15 June: 24 September
- Date of defence between 21 June and 15 October: 3 December
Please note that delays may occur.
Digital Diplomas and Diploma Supplement
The Faculty produces digitally signed diplomas and Diploma Supplements. You will find the digital diploma as a digitally signed pdf in the document archive in Studentweb. You can also share it with others via the Diploma Registry. You log in to Studentweb or the Diploma Registry with ID-porten. If you do not have access to Studentweb or the Diploma Registry, you may contact the faculty.
Conferral ceremony and ceremonial diploma
The latin ceremonial diploma is awarded at the conferral ceremony.
The conferral ceremony takes place four times a year. Doctoral candidates are invited to the ceremony by e-mail approximately five weeks prior to the conferral, and it is optional to attend. If you do not attend the ceremony, the ceremonial diploma will be sent to you by post.
