I have now started on a new era in my professional life: As full time professor at the Department of Behavioural medicine at the Institute for Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Oslo.
I continue as Chief Scientist (now part-time) in the Norwegian non-profit MAGIC Evidence Ecosystem Foundation (MAGIC), being a proud founder and the previous CEO (2013-2024). MAGIC aims to improve patient care globally by enabling the creation, dissemination and implementation of trustworthy guidance in an enhanced evidence ecosystem (short video here and more info below).
Through my new position at the Department of Behavioural Medicine at IMB-UiO, we have a unique opportunity to further improve care of patients, through the integration of behavioural science and Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) in enhancing the evidence ecosystem. We are pursuing this goal through UBET (Unifying Behaviour, Evidence and Technology); a newly established research group at Department for Behavioural Medicine working in close collaboration with MAGIC and partners at leading academic institutions (e.g., LSE, Oxford, Harvard, Dartmouth, KU Leuven and University Hospitals Geneva).
