Medical education

The complexity of medical knowledge and practices is growing. Our research group studies how we can effectively meet this challenge through new strategies in education and communication.

About the group

Our goal is to integrate research approaches and perspectives from different disciplinary fields to advance medical education and health communication, thereby contributing to a better informed, more collaborative, and more sustainable health care system.

We are pursuing two different approaches to the problem.

  1. We study how team training of medical students can improve their ability and willingness to engage in collaborative learning, how they make collective decisions, and how this collective approach may contribute to better health care.
  2. We study how information about cancer is understood and communicated in society, thereby developing educational and communicational strategies to improve understanding of this complex phenomenon.
