Key figures
- 4,000 m² facility at Domus Medica
- 3,268 cages (maximum capacity for mice and rats)
- SOPF and SPF certified health status
- Over 30 years of experience with transgenic technology
Key equipment
We offer state-of-the-art infrastructure for imaging and laboratory operations, operated and maintained by experienced technical staff.
Infrastructure and pathogen control
We offer housing and care in controlled environments (IVC/ISO systems) with strict access control. The department is divided into four units to accommodate the following health status requirements:
- The Barrier (SOPF): Highest health status (Specific and Opportunistic Pathogen Free).
- MDU (SPF): Our main unit with Specific Pathogen Free status.
- Conventional unit: For projects with conventional health status.
- KPMe (Satellite): For projects with conventional health status.
Approved species
In addition to mice and rats, our facilities accommodate fish, frogs and chicken embryos.
