Research equipment

Explore the specialised equipment available to support laboratory animal research at the Department for Comparative Medicine.

Applying for animal experiments (FOTS)

If you are going to carry out animal experiments, you must have approval from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet). Before logging into the FOTS application system, you should check requirements for competence, genetically modified animals (GMO), and facilities, as well as prepare the scientific justification.

Science Linker

Science Linker provides you as a researcher with a complete overview of your projects and agreements. Here you can easily register new data, update information, and manage access in one place.

Prefixes and genotypes

To ensure that breeding work and registration are unambiguous, researchers and users at Comparative Medicine (KM) must follow fixed standards for naming prefixes and genotypes.

HSE, ethics and requirements

The Department of comparative medicine has Standard operating procedures that all users need to adhere to. Courses and documentation will be available after completing the introduction to the facilities.
