• To contribute to improvements in health care interventions for young cancer survivors
  • To integrate quantitative methods and qualitative approaches such as conversation analysis in the  study of basic processes of communication, with an emphasis on emotional communication and psychophysiological mechanisms
  • To develop and test theoretically and empirically based communication skills training programs for medical students and in cancer care
  • To investigate expert and public understanding of cancer
