Faglige interesser

Mitt forskningsfelt er translasjonsforskning innen store globale infeksjonssykdommer som HIV, tuberkulose, og Covid-19. Jeg har fokus på kliniske intervensjonsstudier, vaksiner, immunmekanismer og diagnostiske og prognostiske biomarkører med relevans for lavinntektsland og immunrettet persontilpasset behandling.

Mitt fokus de senere år har vært bygging av nettverk, kompetanse, ressurser og infrastruktur for å kunne gjennomføre kliniske behandlingsstudier.

Jeg leder forskergruppen Kroniske infeksjonssykdommer (CIRG) på Infeksjonsmedisinsk avdeling ved UiO og OUS, er fagansvarlig ved UiO og har vært hovedveileder for åtte ph.d-studenter frem til grad.
