Organization
The Core Facility for Advanced Light Microscopy have several nodes.
The Gaustad node provides services within super-resolution microscopy, live cell microscopy, confocal scanning microscopy, wide-field microscopy, high-content imaging microscopy, laser capture microscopy with optical tweezers, as well as image analysis.
The Montebello node services include a range of imaging techniques such as confocal microscopy, live-cell imaging, superresolution microscopy (SIM and STORM), TIRF, and Photokinetics. We also offer training in microscopy, to enable users to independently operate our microscopes, and we provide access to advanced image analysis software.
The Gaustad node
We provide services to users at Oslo University Hospital (OUS), the University of Oslo (UiO), regional Helse Sør-Øst users, as well as external users.
The Gaustad node is now located in the SINTEF building on Forskningsveien 1. The instruments are on the 4th floor in the F-wing of the building. Please register in the reception, when visiting us, and we will come to meet you. The laser capture microdissection microscope is still located at the Department of Pharmacology in building A3 at Rikshospitalet.

The Montebello node
We serve local and regional Helse Sør-Øst users.
We are located at Institute for Cancer Research, The Norwegian Radium Hospital, building K, 6th floor, rooms K06001, K06002, K06018, and K06020.
