Nordic Seminar on Healthcare During the Pandemic: Disruptions, Digital Consultations, and Comparative Analysis

Organized by the Norwegian Centre for Health Services Research (NORCHER) and its Research Group on Nordic Healthcare Quality and Efficiency.

Background: The pandemic has caused disruptions in the specialized healthcare sector and led to rapid changes in healthcare practices. This research seminar will explore how Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark adapted to the pandemic and the impact of the pandemic on specialized healthcare, and on the introduction of digital consultations into general practice in these countries.

Part I (1:00 pm – 2:00 pm) Welcome and opening presentation

1:05 pm – 2:00 pm: Opening presentation from the project “Nordic comparative micro-data laboratory for analyses of common shocks: The case of Covid19” by Simen Markussen, Director at The Frisch Centre

Part II (2:15 pm – 4:15 pm) The Impact of the Pandemic on Specialized Healthcare and the Adaptation of Nordic Countries

Each presentation will be 15 minutes long, followed by a 5-minute break for Q&A and switching speakers. The last 10 minutes of part 2 will be dedicated to the Q&A session and discussion.
