This mini-symposium involves in-depth discussions of molecular structures in action with researchers in the field. It is organised by the Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM) and the Norwegian Graduate School in Biocatalysis (Biocat). 

Dr Johan Henriksson, Group Leader of HenLab at Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden (MIMS) will give a presentation entitled "Telomere accessibility in cell cycle and aging".

NCMM Associate Investigator, Professor Karl Johan Malmberg, Group Leader of the Malmberg Lab at Oslo University Hospital will present his research as part of the NCMM Tuesday Seminar Series.

Dr. Fran Supek, Group Leader at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, Barcelona, Spain, will present his work on "Mutation clusters in cancer genomes: causes, consequences and opportunities."

National coordinator for EATRIS, Anita Kavlie, will present as part of the NCMM Tuesday Seminar Series.

Helene Knævelsrud, Senior Scientist and head of the Mapping and Disrupting Cancer Circuits Project at Oslo University Hospital, and Charlotte Boccara, head of the Sleep, Cognition & Development project team at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, UiO, will present their latest research as part of NCMM's Tuesday Seminar series. 

Msc. Karolina Spustova at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis «Membranous Protocell Superstructures» for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.

Martin Burkert, NCMM Postdoctoral Fellow from the group of Sebastian Waszak, will present his research as part of the NCMM Tuesday Seminar series. 

NCMM Associate Investigator Emre Yaksi, Professor at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience, NTNU will present his research as part of NCMM's Tuesday seminar series.

Professor Samuli Ripatti, Assistant Director and Head of the Complex Disease Genetics group at the Institute for Molecular Medicine (FIMM), and Dr. Elisabeth Widén, Head of the Genomic Discoveries and Clinical Translation group at FIMM, will present their latest research. 

The NorMIC series of workshops aims to teach biological researchers (PhD students, engineers, postdocs and young PIs) the principles of biological microscopes and image processing.

Anders Jahre’s Senior Medical Prize for 2021 is awarded to Professor Poul Nissen, the Director of the Nordic EMBL Partnership’s Danish node, DANDRITE. On the occasion he will talk about his work at the Jahre lectures.

Doctoral candidate Nancy Saana Banono at the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is  defending the thesis "Functional analysis of psychiatric risk genes in zebrafish (Danio rerio): a focus on the L-type voltage-gated calcium channel subtypes Cav 1.2 and Cav 1.3" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
