Department of Public Health and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences

We are a diverse educational and research environment concerned with knowledge development for the benefit of individuals, health services, and society.

Our shared ambition is to deliver forward-thinking research and high-quality education that contributes to understanding, developing, and implementing sustainable public health measures and health services that society needs.

We contribute with demanded and relevant research across various fields, methods, and disciplines.

Study Programs

We offer a master’s program in public health science and epidemiology that provides a solid knowledge and methodological foundation aimed at tomorrow’s public health and sustainable health services. The program equips the students well to work on a broad range of topics and tasks within epidemiology and public health in healthcare, administration, or research and development.

Research Collaboration

We collaborate with leading national and international research environments to develop sustainable health services of tomorrow. This includes partnerships and cooperation with specialist-and primary health care services, as well as the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Additionally, we have extensive collaboration with many municipalities and research institutes.
